Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s
Claridge’s is a popular luxury hotel in Brook Street, London. It became very popular after the First World War when many leaders stayed here. The restaurant inside this hotel, Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s is run by Gordon Ramsay and Steve Allen, who is currently the head chef. This restaurant won a Michelin star in 2003 after Ramsay took over. It is also known for its eccentric menus and dishes. Thierry Despont, an architect from New York has designed the restaurant.

Modern European dishes are served here amidst quite hums from the walls. The restaurant can seat up to seventy people. Though all the dishes are popular, the rabbit lasagna and Cumbrian lamb rack are the most sought after dishes. Afternoon tea at Claridge’s is world famous and other beverages like Scotch, Brandy and Bourbon are also available. The A La Carte menu consists of finely cured salmon, boiled duck egg toast, Dorset crabs and French beans. Fine British cheese is served along with the desserts. There is also another menu called ‘The Prestige Menu’ that offers six courses, for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. French champagne and sweet wines that are served here are unique and the mint ice-cream simply melts one away! Private dining is also possible, although one has to reserve in advance through telephone or through the Internet.
