Executive Chef Jason Atherton operates an innovative concept called ‘The Chef’s Table’. Six guests are treated to a menu of their choice, and every detail of the meal is explained by Atherton himself. One can also watch the chefs at work in the kitchen. The restaurant is known for its French-Asian cuisine and holds a Michelin star. Restaurant Director Michael West makes sure that all guests are comfortable, and the hospitality of this restaurant is excellent. Private dining is also possible with five separate rooms being offered. One can reserve any one of the rooms in advance and social events, parties and the like can be held. This restaurant, voted by Time Out as 2005’s best restaurant, is open round the clock. The desserts are very good and are highly recommended.

Modern European dishes are served here amidst quite hums from the walls. The restaurant can seat up to seventy people. Though all the dishes are popular, the rabbit lasagna and Cumbrian lamb rack are the most sought after dishes. Afternoon tea at Claridge’s is world famous and other beverages like Scotch, Brandy and Bourbon are also available. The A La Carte menu consists of finely cured salmon, boiled duck egg toast, Dorset crabs and French beans. Fine British cheese is served along with the desserts. There is also another menu called ‘The Prestige Menu’ that offers six courses, for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. French champagne and sweet wines that are served here are unique and the mint ice-cream simply melts one away! The ambience and atmosphere inside Boxwood is relaxed and calm. A highlight of this restaurant is its private dining place, called the Willow Room. This can seat up to 16 people, and is much sought after for parties and other social events. One can hear soft music in the background, and this restaurant is popular among both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The lunch here is quite expensive, but is worth the money. The Butternut squash deserves special mention because of its uniqueness, and the A La carte menu includes Baked Orkney scallops, Dedham Vale beef, and many other delicacies. The dessert and wine lists are extensive and the chocolate ice-cream is the pick of the lot. Because of its popularity, last minute reservations are almost non-existent, though one can book the Willow Room well in advance.

Foxtrot Oscar is another of Gordon Ramsay’s many restaurants. This is located very close to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road. Gordon Ramsay took over the restaurant when he was enamored by the restaurant which has been functioning since 1980. The original owner of Foxtrot Oscar, Michael Proudlock still continues to head the restaurant under the guidance of Gordon Ramsay and his team of chefs. This restaurant, located right in the middle of the city, offers a variety of dishes and desserts.

Foxtrot Oscar, unlike other Gordon Ramsay restaurants, offers dishes at cheaper prices. The lunch menu consists of seafood starters, cauliflower and other soups, beef pies and delicious piccalilli. The desserts, tarts and ice cream that constitute this lunch are simply mouth watering. Supper also has a similar menu, and the A La Carte menu is too good to ignore. However, the highlight of this restaurant is the Sunday Roast. Beef, duck, Chicken, pork and the English lamb are effectively combined with vegetables and sauce to provide the ideal Sunday afternoon dinner. Champagne, red, white and Rose wines are the different beverages offered at this restaurant. This restaurant is also an ideal place for small social events and reservations can be made well in advance. The capacity of the party hall is 22.
