Dear Gordon,

I heard you were going to open a few restaurants here in Caesars Palace. I was just thinking that while watching Kitchen Nightmares. You say you listen to people's advice and I have some if you would be so kind. I reside here in LasVegas. Due to the economy many eatery's have hired whom ever they can at low budget. The result is very bad and potentially sickening food. The casinos are worse. They often hire the least experienced and the cheapest only to make their food suffer. There are many places here I refuse to eat at for fear of food poisoning again or just feeling like I am being robbed. The casinos restaurants are not bringing money for three reasons. First the staff are rude and unclean. Many look like they dressed in the dark and regard customers as an annoyance rather than the source of their paycheck. Second, the food stinks or prepared wrong by unknowledgeable chefs who barely speak English. Even out of the casinos it's that way. They don't care about the customers anymore than the wait staff. Third, and probably most important Caesars Palace is a high end casino that does not want to change with the falling economy. They only want to cater to the rich and have put the locals out to pasture. The prices are outrageous and the casino is easy to get lost in even for a local. They expect you to pay more even when their restaurants have skimped on portions and quality. I desperately want to eat at one of yours because I know there will be high quality food that won't make me sick and staff that won't treat me like the garbage they serve. After watching your shows I am afraid to go out to eat for fear of getting sick again and for what i don't see going on with my food. That is a lot of trust a person gives a stranger to make their food without even seeing them. The strip has arrogance and so do the workers. My advice to starting business in Vegas is to make your own place with your own name and be present for the first year or so if you can. Because I would eat there and so would many people I know. If you give Caesars full power then they will sink you with them. I know this place and how treacherous it can be. Please, please review this and consider the move your making. You do not need anymore leeches in your world siphoning money from your back breaking work.
Thank you

Vera,

Oh how I wish I could help! While I do not have any professional culinary training, I have been cooking family meals since the age of 9 and have a large family (christmas sees 18-20 people at momma and daddys every year) and I have cooked the meals a few times for christmas dinner. Though one year everyone wanted my homemade lasagna and potato rolls and my grandma (never been a bit eater) had two servings of lasagna...sure made me happy :-) I wish I lived closer...I would love to teach some of them how to cook nutritious, healthy meals...that don't cost much. After all, made from scratch saves you hundreds of dollars every year.
I am a Missouri native, having been born in Mt. Vernon. I grew up in Spfld, MO and, at the age of 15, we moved to Fair Grove, where my parents still reside.
I truly wish there were some way I could help.

Kitchen Nightmare,,, You have not seen this night mare... OMG. Not a restaurant but a sober living house in Webb City Missouri. (called House Inc., Hwy 171 Next to the Joplin airport) These 26 men are sober and commited to staying that way. Each night one of the residents has to prepare dinner for 26 people. This kitchen is a real NIGHTMARE!!!! I have been there twice to help when it was my son Brian D's turn to cook. WOW!! Very clean kitchen but very very old. NO dishwasher,NO garbage disposal, NO counter top space, NO cupboards,NO pots and pans or dishes and silverware to speak of and I had to chop 10 large onions with a steak knife? WTF. These men don't have a clue on how or what to cook. NO recipes to refer to.I could go on and on. Never once did I hear anyone complain. They are so grateful to have this house. So appreciative. I am hoping that someone somewhere could help. PLEASE. Vera Johnson, Joplin Missouri

Gordon is as BIG A FAKE as they come! He owes us a ton of $ and the State of N.Y. over $250K! He should be locked up! Not featured on National T.V.! If you ever extend credit to him you will never get paid!
